The Dallas Cowboys traded down from 10th to the 12th pick in the 2021 NFL Draft and selected Linebacker Micah Parsons from Penn State. Dallas acquired a 3rd-round pick (84th overall) from the Philadelphia Eagles in the trade.
Parsons joins the Cowboys with the linebacker position in unstable condition. After declining play from Jaylon Smith and Leighton Vander Esch, Parsons should push for immediate playing time and provides insurance against one of these players departing after the season.

Dallas traded down after coveted prospects Penei Sewell, Jaycee Horn and Patrick Surtain II all came off the board at the 7th-10th picks. The Eagles selected WR Devonta Smith after moving up to 10th.
The Cowboys next pick is 44th overall in the 2nd Round. However, now with three picks in the 3rd-round to use, they could easily be looking to move up and grab another 1st-Round target. They could easily move back into tonight’s action with the picks at their disposal.
But for now, we welcome Micah Parsons to the Dallas Cowboys!
