The Dallas Cowboys have selected Linebacker Jabril Cox with a 4th-round pick, 115th overall, in the 2021 NFL Draft. He played his senior year at LSU after three seasons at North Dakota St.
Cox was generally considered one of the top talents available going into Day 3; someone many expected to be drafted on Friday night. After getting criticized for reaching on talent with some of their 3rd-round pick, Dallas shouldn’t hear any of that with this pick.
And we are underway with another defender: former LSU linebacker Jabril Cox to Cowboys at No. 115 overall. Team had a Day 2 grade on him. Cox will be busy as rookie on special teams. https://t.co/oJ0DW20ep5

This pick gives Dallas their sixth defensive player in this draft; a clean sweep so far on that side of the ball. Cox is also the second linebacker drafted after Penn State’s Micah Parsons joined the Cowboys on Thursday night.
Depth at LB was a clear concern for Dallas, arguably their second-biggest need to cornerback, heading into the 2021 Draft.
Welcome to the Cowboys, Jabril Cox!
