2022 Cowboys Season Preview: Week 11 vs Vikings

The Cowboys take on the Minnesota Vikings in week 11 of the 2022 season. This matchup will be at Minnesota just like a season ago. Dallas will be coming off a road game the week before in Green-bay so the matchup with the Vikings is one you would figure the Cowboys would have to win.

Let’s not lose sight of the fact Dallas walked into U.S. Bank Stadium in week seven last year and beat them with Cooper Rush, who threw the ball 40 times.

I will be honest, Dallas will be coming off a loss against the Packers the week before, but the Cowboys should still be sitting around 6-and-3 when Dak Prescott takes on Kirk Cousins. Honestly, I know how loaded the offense is in Minnesota. With Adam Thielen, Justin Jefferson, and Dalvin Cook, Dallas still did a fine job limiting them last season and found a way to win a game they typically lose.

The Cowboys are 4-1 in their last five games against the Vikings. They typically find ways to beat them on the road. The last three wins in Minneapolis have come from three different quarterbacks. Prescott, Andy Dalton, and Rush.

I think this game goes down to the wire just like last season. By this point in the season, we all should know the type of team Dallas is. Michael Gallup will have a few games under his belt again, CeeDee Lamb will be around, and even if not as effective as it once was, they will lean on running the football when they can with the duo in the backfield.

I am concerned about who will be kicking the football at this point in the season. If it comes down to a field goal as the clock hits zero, I hope it splits the uprights, and Dallas can head home with a win after the road trip.
