Among the seven players selected are four starters and two first-timers. The Cowboys have starters on each side of the ball.
Here is the complete list of the seven players selected, along with some quick facts about their selections:
Trevon Diggs — Cornerback, 2023 Starter
This is Trevon Diggs’ 2nd Pro Bowl selection.
He is the first Cowboys cornerback since Deion Sanders to be selected in consecutive years. Diggs’ notable sibling, Stefon Diggs (Bills WR), was also selected this year.
CeeDee Lamb — Wide receiver
This is CeeDee Lamb’s 2nd Pro Bowl selection after being added as an alternate for the 2022 Pro Bowl.
Lamb currently sits at 1,087 yards from 81 receptions. He is on pace to surpass last year’s regular season marks of 1,102 yards from 79 receptions
Demarcus Lawrence — Defensive end
This is DeMarcus Lawrence’s first Pro Bowl selection since 2018.
Lawrence has six sacks on the year, tied for 45th in the NFL, but has gained notoriety for pressure plays and stopping the run.
Zack Martin — Offensive guard, 2023 Starter
This is Zack Martin’s 8th Pro Bowl selection.
The only other Cowboys offensive lineman with more selections is Larry Allen (1994 – 2005).
Micah Parsons — Outside linebacker, 2023 Starter
This is the 2nd Pro Bowl selection for Micah Parsons.
He is the first player in franchise history and the third defensive player to be named to a Pro Bowl roster each of his first two NFL seasons.
Tony Pollard — Running back
This is Tony Pollard’s 1st ever Pro Bowl selection.
He has only started in 3 games but has accrued 969 yards this season, good for seventh in the NFL. He leads the NFL with 5.5 yards per attempt.
KaVontae Turpin — Return specialist, 2023 Starter
This has been quite a year for KaVontae Turpin. He was just named USFL MVP over the Summer before joining the Dallas Cowboys and made a splash in the preseason to earn his spot on the 53-man roster.
Although he hasn’t yet completed a return for a touchdown in the regular season, he is the only NFL player to have both a punt return and a kickoff return of over 50 yards this season.
The New NFL Pro Bowl
The traditional exhibition game that normally takes place during the Pro Bowl has been removed from the slate of activities for the upcoming event.
The occasion has been rebranded as the “Pro Bowl Games” and will not include tackle football.
It will instead include skills events including relay races, strength competitions, and speed competitions. The main events will be the AFC vs NFC Flag Games coached by Peyton and Eli Manning, as well as a live musical performance.
The NFL Pro Bowl Games are billed as a day-long event on Sunday, February 5th, but coverage will begin as early as that Thursday.
All events will take place at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
