Bill Belichick Praises Cowboys Offense, Quarterback Dak Prescott

Bill Belichick is the greatest head coach of all time. At this point, there’s no doubt about it.

Belichick has built the greatest dynasty the NFL has ever seen, dominating his respective division while seemingly living in the Super Bowl year in and year out.

For much of the last 15 years the New England Patriots real season doesn’t even start until the Divisional Round of the playoffs. They are the symbol of excellence in this league, and he’s the leader of it all.

Ahead of this week’s matchup between Belichick’s Patriots and the Dallas Cowboys, Bill spoke about what problems the Cowboys offense pose to his elite defense.

Per usual, Bill Belichick was complimentary of his opponent, but Dallas’ firepower gives me reason to believe he isn’t simply blowing smoke.

“It’s everything…you’ve got to stop everything…it’s going to take good team defense just to be competitive against these guys.” – Bill Belichick to the media this week.

By the numbers, he’s exactly right.

The Cowboys are currently the best offense in the NFL by DVOA, and rank in the top three both on the ground and in the air. Dak Prescott is playing his way into the MVP conversation, while defenses still need to worry greatly about Dallas’ offensive line and running back Ezekiel Elliott.

Amari Cooper and Michael Gallup have turned into one of the top 1-2 punches in all of football, oh, and Randall Cobb has emerged as a legit number three in recent weeks. Defenses really do need to be prepared for “everything.”

“They hit teams on a lot of plays that are tough against the coverages or the matchups. They find good route combinations and they find good matchups in the passing game and they exploit them with all their players.” – Belichick.

This offense has been great, especially since the bye week.

But the Patriots defense will be (as they are for every other team) Dallas’ biggest test this season.

Die-hard Cowboys fan from the Northeast, so you know I am here to defend the 'boys whenever necessary. Began writing for a WordPress Cowboys Blog, and have been with ITS since 2016.
