After a meeting between Ezekiel Elliott and Roger Goodell yesterday, the NFL has reportedly decided against any punishment for the Dallas Cowboys running back follow an incident in May with a concert security guard.
There was concern that the incident, when put up against Elliott’s previous suspension in 2017, could result in further missed games for the Cowboys’ star rusher.

The NFL investigation included speaking to witnesses and examining documents. As part of the final review, a source said Goodell used the incident to reinforce with Elliott the standard of conduct expected and the consequences of failing to conform.

Likely as a result of this conversation with the NFL Commissioner, Elliott made a public apology yesterday regarding the May incident. He acknowledged the need to avoid situations like this in the future.

No matter where you stand on Zeke the person, all Cowboys fans should welcome the news that he isn’t facing another suspension. The Cowboys can now look ahead to 2019 without that same cloud hanging over them from a few years ago.
