Can Dallas extend success against Giants, Week 10 contests today?

The Cowboys have played a total of 59 Week 10 games in their history. They have had three Week 10 byes and lost one final game to the 1982 strike.

Coming into Sunday’s home game against the Giants, Dallas is 32-26-1 all-time in Week 10 contests.

They are 13-11-1 at home and 19-15 on the road. The lone tie came against the Redskins at the Cotton Bowl in 1961.

The Cowboys lost their Week 10 game on the road at Green Bay last year, but won at home against the Falcons in 2021.

Road Kings

Dallas has played 13 of its last 16 Week 10 contests outside the state of Texas. They are 10-6 in those games.

They played seven straight on the road between 2012 and 2018 and went 4-3 during that stretch.

Dallas also hit the road in Week 10 seven straight years from 1968 through 1974. They went 5-2 during that time.

Their longest win streak on the road in Week 10 was four from 1970-1973.

They beat the Redskins in 1970 and 1971 then won back-to-back Week 10 games against the Eagles.

By comparison, the longest streak of consecutive Week 10 games at home was from 1961 to 1965. Dallas was 1-3-1 at the Cotton Bowl during that stretch.

The Cowboys longest Week 10 home win streak is three games – 1993-1995 – when they beat the Giants back-to-back then dispatched the Eagles.

Dallas has only lost back-to-back Week 10 home games once in its history. The Cowboys lost to the Eagles in 1964 then fell to the Browns in 1965.

They have lost consecutive Week 10 road games on two occasions – the Steelers in 1978 and Dolphins in 1979 and then to the Giants in 1988 and the Cardinals in 1989.

The Cowboys longest Week 10 losing streak was from 1988-1990.

The 49ers beat Dallas at Texas Stadium following the road losses to New York and Arizona.

The team’s longest overall Week 10 win streak was a five-game run in their last Super Bowl era from 1991 to 1995.

Against the Giants

In Week 10 games against this week’s opponent, Dallas is 6-3 overall. The Cowboys have won the last five meetings between the two franchises on Week 10.

The Cowboys won the first Week 10 meeting in 1979, a 16-14 come-from-behind win.

A touchdown pass from Roger Staubach to Drew Pearson and a Rafael Septien field goal sealed the win.

The Giants won the next three Week 10 meetings between 1980-1988. The Cowboys current streak dates back to a 31-9 win at home in 1993.

The Cowboys last Week 10 win over New York was a 33-20 victory in New York in 2010.

Dallas’ all-time record against the Giants coming into Sunday stands at 74-47-2.

The Cowboys have won the last five contests against the Giants and 12 of the last 13.

Dallas is 40-21-1 at home against New York all-time. The Cowboys have won the last six games played at home against the Giants.

By Division

The Cowboys are 20-10-1 overall against the NFC East. They have faced the Eagles 14 times in Week 10 with a 9-5 record.

Dallas is 5-2-1 against Washington.

The Cowboys are 25-22-1 overall against the NFC in Week 10.

A 2-1 record against the Cardinals and a 1-0 mark against the Lions are their only winning records against the conference outside of NFC East teams.

Dallas is 0-2 against the 49ers and Bears. They are just 2-5 against the NFC North, 1-3 against the NFC South, and 2-4 against the NFC West.

The Cowboys have only faced AFC teams 11 times in Week 10 games with a 7-4 record. They are 4-0 against the Bills.

Dallas is 5-1 overall against the AFC East. They have beaten the Patriots in Week 10 but lost to the Dolphins and have not faced the Jets.

Dallas is 1-0 in its only AFC South Week 10 matchup, beating the Jaguars on the road in 2014.

The Cowboys are 1-2 versus the AFC North with a loss to the Browns and a 1-1 mark against the Steelers. They are 0-1 against the Raiders and the AFC West.
