Can Mike McCarthy keep up with his own team?

Mike McCarthy has been invested in getting the Dallas Cowboys to a Super Bowl ever since joining the team (or so he says). With such a talented team as he’s had over the past two seasons, some fans expected him to have already achieved that goal, but McCarthy has not.

Owner Jerry Jones has had the highest hopes for McCarthy since he acquired him.

Jones has seemed to always have Mike McCarthy’s back throughout all the backlash. Even after the loss against the San Francisco 49ers, Jones came out and stated how McCarthy’s job is in no trouble whatsoever.

Looking forward to next season, the recurring question returns — fans wondering if McCarthy will get their team to the Super Bowl this season while having all this talent.

Can Mike McCarthy keep up with his own team this season?

The talent that the Dallas Cowboys have had lately is unreal. With both sides of the ball being skilled, the Cowboys have been one of the most elite teams in the entire NFL over the last few years.

So what’s the problem?

The problem is that Mike McCarthy isn’t keeping up with all this talent he’s given.

He is struggling with all these skilled players for some reason.

The scary truth is that this talent isn’t going to be around for long. This Dallas Cowboys team won’t stay elite forever.

Young players like Micah Parsons and KaVontae Turpin won’t last an eternity. McCarthy needs to act now.

Head Coach Mike McCarthy as the coach of the Dallas Cowboys

It’s sad to think that perhaps last year was their only year to have the chance of winning the Super Bowl.

I mean, the Cowboys were stacked, and yet again we come up short in a playoff game.

After losing Tight End Dalton Schultz to the Texans this season, the skill level for the Cowboys has already decreased.

But maybe in the grand scheme of things, it will actually benefit the Cowboys.

I know that’s absurd to say considering Schultz is one of the best tight ends in the league but maybe that’s what McCarthy needed.

If last year didn’t work with the amount of talent McCarthy had, then maybe it’s time to take some away.

I am obviously being sarcastic, but McCarthy needs to fix this problem fast or he’s going to lose his entire team.

Jerry Jones also needs to realize that McCarthy may not be the answer to fix the team; he may actually be the weight that brings it down.

Everyone knows that the players all play their hardest and are very skilled, so the only logical explanation is that the cause of this massive delay in a Super Bowl is coming from the coaching staff or owner.

I know what everyone who is reading this is thinking, the main problem is Dak Prescott.

I can agree that he has had a lot of issues this season with decision-making and accuracy, but a lot of that playoff game seemed to be McCarthy’s fault.

Look how Prescott performed against Tampa Bay, astonishing.

Mike McCarthy simply didn’t have Prescott or any of his players ready for the 49ers game. That reason right there shows me that Mike McCarthy can not keep up with his own team.

It’s just too much for him to handle.

It’s tough to say how one can fix a flaw like that, but whatever the answer is, McCarthy needs to figure it out before next season. Are the Dallas Cowboys too much for McCarthy to handle?
