Happy Monday, Cowboys fans. I hope you all had a great Christmas and spent time with your family.
We all got to see the Cowboys play Christmas Eve and pull out a 40-34 victory over the Eagles to improve to 11-4, but let’s give our thanks to CeeDee Lamb. He is straight balling for the Cowboys this season.
Lamb’s 1,207 Yards is the most in a single season by a Cowboys wide receiver since Dez Bryant had 1,233 in 2014
We all had the same thoughts going into this season. Could Lamb bring the production of a true No. 1 wide receiver? The Cowboys traded away Amari Cooper, and Lamb has done nothing but show up weekly and produce.
The Cowboys have the highest-scoring offense since Dak Prescott returned from his thumb injury, and even with a run-heavy offense to start the year with Cooper Rush, Lamb is 7th in receiving yards this season.
Lamb has 17 receptions for 246 yards and two touchdowns in his last two games, and with 1.207 yards on 81 catches with two games remaining, he will only move up the ladder.
Early on, I had questions about if Lamb would be able to take over a game and make defenses have to worry about him. Well, we all saw what he did Saturday to an Eagles defense that had not given up over 250 yards passing.

Kellen Moore finally has a full arsenal of weapons on offense for him to use. I talked about Michael Gallup and the lack of production last week, but he hauled a big touchdown for the Cowboys in the second half.
We all saw that T.Y Hilton still had gas left in the tank. He and Prescott connected on the game-changing 3rd, and 30 for over 50 yards changed the game. A dime of a throw and a great catch by the vet.
This was the best game I have seen Moore call on the season and everyone showed up big-time on offense. The defense forced four turnovers, but they still can’t get off the field on third down.
The offense used those timely turnovers to help put the game away, but with the play from Lamb, Prescott, and the offense, they don’t win this game. They have not been suitable for two weeks now, the injuries hurt, but man, it is hard to watch.
Dallas needs this production from Lamb as the playoffs are near. The Cowboys bet on Lamb this offseason when they traded Cooper, and they won.
As someone who was skeptical of the move, It has paid off, and credit to Dallas for adding Hilton this late in the year should help Lamb continue to get easy looks.
All I ask from Moore is to remember Thunder and Lightening. Ezekiel Elliott and Tony Pollard are still the driving force behind this offense. What Saturday did show me, though, is that if Prescott needs to do what everyone keeps saying he can’t do and throw the ball 35-plus times to win a game, he can.
Lamb has been a massive reason for that, and I am looking forward to playing the NFC South’s winner in the playoffs’ first round. Regardless of who it is.
