Welcome to the offseason, where at times we have to find a few fun things to write about before the league starts to pick up again, right?
The host of The Herd on FS1, Colin Cowherd was trending the other day, and like always he dropped a wild take for all his viewers to take in.
It is still February, and both free agency and the draft are on the horizon, so the outlook of every football team can and will change.

What He Said
Cowherd revealed his ‘Way-Too-Early’ NFL playoff predictions for next season last week on his show The Herd on FS1.
He picked the four division winners and three wildcards from both the AFC and NFC.
Since no team has won the NFC East in consecutive years in over 20 years, I figured he would flip-flop Dallas and Philly again next season. Clearly the best two teams in the East.
Boy, was I wrong? Cowherd said the Washington Commanders led by Dan Quinn would beat out both Dallas and Philly to win the NFC East.
You are kidding, right?
His argument was the Commanders have $75 million in cap space, he loves Quinn and Kliff Kingsbury.
Due to the fact the NFL has a surprise team every year, he thinks that if they draft Drake Maye he would be better than people think right off the jump.
He also noted that due to the Cowboys and Eagles’ “age and drama,” they wouldn’t win the division. Players are five months older, not five years, Colin.
He did pick the Cowboys to make it as a Wild Card, but had the Eagles missing the playoffs completely, dude has lost his mind.
Take a look at the video below and see for yourself.
"I think they get Drake Maye. I think he's like Justin Herbert as a comp… and will be better than people think immediately."

Colin, I’m Sorry
Colin Cowherd, I am sorry, but the Washington Commanders are not going to get 63 points better from a year ago.
The Dallas Cowboys beat the Commanders 45-10, and 38-10 in both meetings a season ago.
Adding Quinn as the head coach, Kliff Kingsbury as the Offensive Coordinator, who had ONE winning season as the Arizona Cardinals head coach, and drafting a rookie quarterback is not good enough to beat Dallas or the Eagles for that matter.
All For Clicks
Let’s be honest he is doing it for clicks and to get folks talking about it. After about week five or six when Washington is under .500 and has lost to both Dallas and Philly, he will forget all about his bold prediction.
He will claim that they are young and inexperienced and come up with something new.
The Cowboys added Mike Zimmer as the new Defensive Coordinator to replace Dan Quinn who obviously left for Washington.
Zimmer will do a better job than Quinn, I think.
He isn’t here to be buddy buddy with this defense, he is here to coach them and get them right.

I’m not saying the Cowboys are going to do anything more than make the playoffs, but based on the core they still have, they will win the division.
I expect them to add one or two playmakers on both sides of the ball. Jerry Jones wants to go “all-in,” so do it then.
Colin Cowherd getting exactly what he wants, folks to talk about him.
