The Dallas Cowboys have selected Running Back Mike Weber from Ohio State with a seventh-round pick, 218th overall, in the 2019 NFL Draft.
Weber is the second RB taken by the Cowboys in this draft. They selected Tony Pollard out of Memphis in the fourth round.

The Cowboys went into the draft with little depth at running back. Their only reserves behind Ezekiel Elliott were Darius Jackson and Jordan Chunn, neither of whom has had significant playing time yet in the NFL.
Jackson was a late-round pick by Dallas in 2016 but has yet to find a role. Rod Smith has been the backup RB the last two seasons but remains unsigned in free agency right now.
It’s a wide-open situation for Mike Weber, who will have a better opportunity to compete for a roster spot than a lot of seventh-round picks get.
Congratulations, and welcome to the Dallas Cowboys!
