The wait is over! The Dallas Cowboys used their 2020 first-round pick, 17th overall, to select Wide Receiver CeeDee Lamb out of Oklahoma.
Cedarian Lamb was considered by some as the receiver in this rookie class, and his fall to the 17th pick is a shocking surprise for the Cowboys.

The #Cowboys looked hard at edge and CB… never expecting one of the top WRs to be there. A stunner. #Oklahoma WR CeeDee Lamb heads to Dallas. No. 17.

The Cowboys needed more WR talent after losing Randall Cobb in free agency. While they’re great up top with Amari Cooper and Michael Gallup, the #3 receiver is essentially a starting position in the modern NFL.
Adding Lamb now completes the Cowboys’ offense for 2020, allowing them to focus entirely on defense for the rest of the draft.
Their next pick, barring a trade, is the 51st pick.
