I didn’t have Redmond on my last 53-man roster projection but he was definitely one of the toughest guys to cut. His playing experience and versatility on the interior line are good assets.
Unfortunately for him, the Cowboys’ offensive line depth is already loaded with position flexibility. I imagine Dallas will just keep nine linemen with Cam Erving, Brandon Knight, Connor McGovern, and Tyler Biadasz backing up the starters.
One of the usual reasons that teams cut players early is to give them a chance to catch on somewhere else. With Thorson having been a 5th-round pick in 2019 and Redmond having some real-game experience, they both have decent opportunities to do that.
