The Cowboys may be even more shorthanded at defensive end on Sunday at the Los Angeles Chargers, as starting left end DeMarcus Lawrence was added to the injury report today. Lawrence exited with a foot injury, and the Cowboys are still awaiting the status of Randy Gregory who was placed on the COVID list.
Some disconcerting news.

The Cowboys did not record a single sack in week one against Tom Brady, though their starting defensive front with both Lawrence and Gregory did create pressure. When they needed depth players to step up on the final drive, Brady made quick work of the Dallas defense to set up the game winning score.
This Sunday against Justin Herbert could see more of the same if the Cowboys are without DeMarcus Lawrence. Rookie DE Chauncey Gholston was a full participant after being inactive at Tampa Bay.
