The Dallas Cowboys have selected Defensive Tackle Mazi Smith from the University of Michigan with their 1st-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.
The Cowboys added another weapon for Dan Quinn to use on a loaded defense for Dallas.
At 6-foot-3, 323 pounds, Smith can plug a hole.
The biggest weakness of the Dallas defense for the last few years has been the ability to stop the run.
After the Buffalo Bills traded up one pick ahead of Dallas to take Dalton Kincaid, it left them with just a few players on their big board.

I don’t know a ton about him, but from the looks of things, Micah Parsons sure does like him…
He may be able to step right in a help a glaring weakness on defense.
