What a crazy couple of days for the Dallas Cowboys. A day after Jason Witten’s retirement was reported and minutes after Ryan Switzer was traded to the Oakland Raiders, the Dallas Cowboys have drafted a running back to back-up superstar Ezekiel Elliott.

From the Alabama Crimson Tide, the Cowboys get a very capable RB who never really got a chance to shine in college. A backup for a long time under Nick Saban, Scarbrough will execute the same role behind Elliott or maybe behind Rod Smith.
Even still, it’s a great pick for the Cowboys, who came into the Draft with “backup RB” written in the team’s needs list.
That concludes the 2018 NFL Draft for the Dallas Cowboys (barring an unexpected trade). As always, it’s a pleasure to keep up you updated on behalf of Inside The Star and to provide you with on-location content directly from fellow Staff Writer Sean Martin!
