The Dallas Cowboys have had some of the best top-end offensive line talent in football for years now. And while Zack Martin’s addition in 2014 took the run game to the next level, left tackle Tyron Smith has been a stalwart on the Dallas offensive line for nearly the entire decade.
This week Pro Football Focus is releasing their top 101 players of the 2010’s, and Tyron Smith earned his spot on the list. PFF slotted Smith 43rd overall, ahead of his teammate Zack Martin who was placed 51st.

Tyron Smith is a 7 time Pro Bowler, 2 time First Team All Pro, and 2 time Second Team All Pro. He’s been arguably the best left tackle in football since about 2013, and he is still somehow just 29 years old.
The Cowboys selection of Tyron Smith in the 2011 NFL Draft changed the course of their franchise, and signaled a new day in terms of draft philosophy. Beginning with Smith, the Cowboys rebuilt their offensive line with almost nothing but All Pros (Travis Frederick and Zack Martin included), and put themselves back into NFC East contention year in and year out.
Congrats to Tyron Smith for earning yet another accolade during his illustrious career. I have a strong suspicion his football days may end with a Gold Jacket in Canton, Ohio.
