Dak Prescott becomes highest-paid Jordan NFL athlete with 5-year deal

There was a time in the offseason for the Dallas Cowboys when whether or not QB Dak Prescott would sign a four- or five-year deal — or any at all — to remain with the team was their biggest concern.

As of Wednesday, Prescott has officially signed both.

Prescott parted ways with Adidas to become the only quarterback with the Jordan brand. He signed a five-year deal that makes him the highest-paid NFL player on Jordan’s roster.

Prescott’s use of Jordan cleats caught the eye of the national media at Cowboys OTAs, where all eyes were on the starting quarterback making his return from a broken ankle.

Prescott will be a full-go for Cowboys training camp, according to Head Coach Mike McCarthy, making the timing of this deal with Jordan a huge success for their branding within America’s Team.

Dak Prescott is the only member of the Cowboys currently sponsored by Jordan.

The Cowboys have looked to use their marketability as a selling point for players to take team-friendly deals in exchange for the exposure.

Dak Prescott deservingly broke this mold, landing his four-year $160 million deal in March before now signing with Jordan through 2025.

The Jordan brand may be just gaining traction with the Cowboys and Dak Prescott, but their presence in Dallas is just beginning.

This is thanks not only to the latest deal with Dak Prescott but also to the fact that Mavericks star Luka Doncic signed with the brand in 2019.
