The Dallas Cowboys rolled to a 30-10 victory over the New York Jets on Sunday at AT&T Stadium.

It’s the second straight win over a New York team.

Dallas rolled to a 40-0 win over the New York Giants to open the season.

Last week’s victory snapped a three-game losing streak in season-opening games for the Cowboys.

Sunday’s victory ended Dallas’ three-game losing streak to the Jets.

The Cowboys’ last win over the Jets had come in 2007.

The win keeps the Cowboys tied for first in the NFC East with the Eagles and Commanders. The Giants are just one game back at 1-1.

Strong First Half

Dallas took the opening kickoff and drove 75 yards on 12 plays.

Dak Prescott hit Jake Ferguson on a four-yard pass for an early 7-0 lead.

The Cowboys extended the lead to 10-0 in the second quarter on a 35-yard field goal by Brandon Aubrey.

The Jets answered with a one-play touchdown drive, a 68-yard pass from Zach Wilson to Garrett Wilson to make it 10-7.

But Dallas answered with a 13-play drive for 75 yards.

Prescott connected with rookie Luke Schoonmaker for a one-yard pass.

It was the first pass target, reception, and touchdown for the second-round pick from Michigan.

Tony Pollard ran in the two-point try for an 18-7 lead.

The Jets moved into field goal range and cut the lead to 18-10 just before the half.

The Cowboys offense threw 26 passes in the half and rushed 18 times. It was the second straight game without a turnover for the offense.

Red Zone Issues

The Cowboys defense clamped down on the Jets in the second half.

Dallas forced a fumble and picked off three Zach Wilson passes in the final 30 minutes.

But the Cowboys’ offense would settle for four Aubrey field goals — including a 55-yarder — despite three drives into the red zone.

A penalty wiped out a Pollard touchdown run and gimmick plays led to negative yardage, putting the Cowboys behind the chains.

By The Numbers

The Dallas defense had shut out their opponents for the first 82:48 of the season before Zach Wilson’s long scoring pass to Garrett Wilson.

The victory pushed the Cowboys to 42-22 all-time in games played in the second week of the season.

It also gave Dallas their ninth-straight home victory.

The last loss at home for the Cowboys was a 25-22 decision to Arizona on Jan. 2, 2022, in the next-to-last game of the 2021 season.
