Cowboys Take 13-7 Lead Into Halftime vs Saints

Neither the Cowboys or Saints were on a short week, last playing on Thanksgiving ahead of this Thursday Night Football contest. Nevertheless, it still looks like a typical Thursday game for both teams. Thankfully, Dallas has managed to build a 13-7 lead at halftime.

Greg Zuerlein has gone 2-for-2 on field goals, including a 55-yarder, while Dak Prescott hit Michael Gallup for a dazzling tiptoe catch for Dallas’ only touchdown. Prescott has been sharp with 19-of-24 passing for 177 yards in the first half.

Jayron Kearse made an amazing interception grab, dragging his toes while diving out of bounds with the ball, for the team’s biggest defensive play. Micah Parsons has been making his presence felt with some big stops and DeMarcus Lawrence has also shown up a few times in his big return to action.

Dallas needs to get the run game going in the second half. Ezekiel Elliott and Tony Pollard have just 18 combined yards on nine carries. Only a 33-yard run by CeeDee Lamb has kept the overall stats looking decent.

The Cowboys will get the ball to start the third quarter. With the Saints severely shorthanded tonight, hopefully Dallas shows their superiority more in the next 30 minutes.
