Cowboys Win Sunday To Keep NFC East Streak Alive

With a win on Sunday the Dallas Cowboys win the NFC East crown. Their second in three years.

There has not been a repeat winner of the NFC East since the Eagles did it back-to-back in 2003 and 2004.

After losing a tight one to the Dolphins, I don’t think anyone thought we would be having this conversation during the last week of the season.

The Eagles dropping games to both the Seattle Seahawks and the Arizona Cardinals and Dallas holding on against the Lions made this possible.

This has trap game written all over it, hu?

Golden Opportunity

After the Cowboys survived the Lions on some bad officiating late in the game, they just needed the Eagles to lose one of their final two games.

The Arizona Cardinals went into Philly on Sunday, and after trailing 21-6 at halftime was able to shock the NFC and give Dallas the chance to win the NFC East.

If they win this game, a Mike McCarthy led team will do something they haven’t since the early-mid 90s.

Win 12 or more games three years in a row.

Hard to Predict

It is hard to predict what the Cowboys are going to see from Washington this week.

They currently sit with the second overall pick, and with a shocking win could drop as far as 5th.

Sam Howell is the starting quarterback, and he has piled up a lot of yards this season, but has thrown 19 interceptions to his 20 touchdowns.

At the same time, do they want to ruin the Cowboys chance at celebrating clinching the division title on their home field?

It is hard to say.

If they lose they can’t move any lower than the second pick as they hold all the tie breakers to land it.

They need a quarterback, and this draft is filled with them.

Don’t repeat last year

Last year the Cowboys decided to play all the starters week against on the road against this very same team.

The game didn’t mean a thing thing, and Dallas went in and got beat up left and right.

Dallas lost 26-6, and looked like they weren’t ready for the playoffs.

When the Cowboys are given something like this you can’t help but think if they will be the same ol’ Cowboys or will they finally show up.

We’ve been asking this for years. If they lose this game they don’t deserve to even be in the playoffs….

Jimmy Johnson curse might be real… He get’s in, the Eagles lose to a team that had 3 wins after being up big, and now the Cowboys can host a couple of playoffs games.

A division title and two home playoff games on the line? Cowboys win this one and cover the 13.5 point spread, 29-13.
