Week 17: Cowboys Vs. Redskins

If things go as I have predicted so far, the Week 17 matchup between the Dallas Cowboys and Washington Redskins is likely meaningless. Washington has probably switched to QB Dwanye Haskins by this point and the Cowboys should already have their playoff spot secured, potentially with a first-round bye. The only question I have is whether or not Jason Garrett will play his starters, and if so, how long?

Jason Garrett will more than likely play his starters through the first half at least. He hasn’t shown a tendency of resting the starters in the past, and I doubt that will change this year. He prefers to get them a little work to keep them up to speed, but that could change depending on their playoff seeding. Regardless though, this is a game I think the Cowboys win at home to close out the 2019 regular-season.

Prediction: Cowboys, 17-13

I’m probably overly optimistic about what the Dallas Cowboys are capable of in 2019, but I think there’s a real possibility they finish 12-4 and reach the playoffs for the second consecutive year. Make no mistake, this is a talented team capable of winning a Super Bowl. Whether or not they’re able to do so is entirely on their shoulders, and their shoulders alone. I don’t know about you, but I have high hopes for the Dallas Cowboys this year.
