The NFL offseason returning to a closer sense of normal after being all virtual a year ago was a great step for the league, though certain rules and restrictions are still in place. The nature of the violations that three teams committed is unknown, but the league announced Thursday that the Cowboys along with the Jaguars and 49ers were all fined.
The Cowboys fine costs the organization $100,000, and Head Coach Mike McCarthy $50,000. This same penalty goes for the 49ers and Kyle Shanahan, while new Jacksonville HC Urban Meyer was fined $100,000 and the team $200,000.

In-person offseason work is particular important for teams that either introduced new coaching staffs during the 2020 season, or are doing so currently. This describes both the Cowboys and Jaguars, generating a buzz out of their OTAs with everything from the return of Dak Prescott to the introduction of Trevor Lawrence in the AFC.
The Cowboys declined to comment further on the situation. Their training camp will begin from Oxnard, California on July 21st with an opening press conference and the first practice on Thursday the 22nd.
