The long wait is almost over; the Dallas Cowboys will begin their season tonight against the Los Angeles Rams. However, some players won’t be part of the opener as both teams have declared their inactives for tonight’s game.
We already knew some key players who would be missing for Dallas. Right Tackle La’el Collins and Linebacker Sean Lee are starting the year on injured reserve, meaning they won’t be playing until Week 4 at the earliest.
We also knew as of Friday that CB Jourdan Lewis would miss the game due to an ankle injury.
@dallascowboys in-actives: CB Jourdan Lewis, QB Ben DiNucci, TE Sean McKeon, G Connor McGovern, LB Luke Gifford, S Reggie Robinson Only six inactives. 48 players will be active including Brandon Carr. #CowboysNation

It isn’t all bad news for the Cowboys. Other starters such as WR Amari Cooper, CB Chidobe Awuzie, and S Xavier Woods will all play tonight despite some injury issues earlier in the week.
Meanwhile, the Rams will be coming into tonight’s game at full strength.
Rams inactives: RB Raymond Calais, OL Brian Allen, OL Tremayne Anchrum, WR Trishton Jackson, TE Brycen Hopkins and DL Eric Banks

Los Angeles won’t be without any of their key talent on either side of the ball, and made it through training camp without any major injuries.
Could that be the edge in tonight’s game? Missing La’el Collins is a big blow for Dallas, and they could sure use Jourdan Lewis’ playmaking ability in the secondary.
With kickoff a little over an hour away, we’ll see just how much these absences hurt the Cowboys very soon.
