LeBron James is one of the best basketball players of all time, a three time champion who has cemented himself in the NBA record books. But he made big news this week when he suggested he considered joining the Dallas Cowboys during the 2011 NBA lockout, even saying that Jerry Jones sent him a one year contract that he now has framed.
If James would have joined the Cowboys to play tight end, future Hall of Famer DeMarcus Ware would’ve been his teammate. And would’ve been a man LeBron was asked to block during one on ones in training camp.
Ware joined the NFL Network this week to talk about LeBron James’ comments, joking that there was “no way in hell” LeBron could’ve blocked him.

Ware did add that he believes LeBron would’ve been a really good tight end due to his athleticism, though it’s hard to imagine someone could jump into the game after so many years off and excel at the highest level.
Still, it’s a fun hypothetical, and one that Ware himself had fun with this week.
