The Dallas Cowboys have finally ended all the speculation about the future of Jason Garrett on Sunday. They informed the second longest-tenured coach in franchise history that he would no longer be a part of the organization’s future plans.
This doesn’t come as a surprise to anyone, though, as the writing on the wall has been there for quite some time. Garrett entered the 2019 season without a new contract and was essentially coaching for his job. After the Cowboys lost their Week 16 showdown vs the Philadelphia Eagles, which ended their playoff hopes, Garrett’s days at the helm were numbered.
Not too long after the marriage between the organization and Garrett came to an end, former Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant didn’t hold back about his feelings towards his former coach.
I don’t have no sympathy for coach Garrett losing his job
The cowboys just became real contenders

Bryant would continue to express his feelings when he saw a tweet that suggested the careers of himself and other prominent players were wasted under Garrett’s leadership.
I’m keeping it all the way 100000 right now.. you knew this very early in my career… I’m sorry I’m just stating facts … I know exactly what football is and I know how it suppose to be played… CJ you kinda crushed me with this one because you spoke a fact https://t.co/jmOZn8FTdF

These latest words from the franchise’s all-time leader in touchdown receptions were just a continuation of how he’s felt for a while. After the Cowboys suffered a tough 13-9 loss to the New England Patriots back in November, Bryant would take to twitter the very next night while watching the Baltimore Ravens battle the Los Angeles Rams on Mondy Night Football, suggesting Garrett can’t relate to black players.
Coach Garrett need to have a sit down with John Harbaugh and learn how to relate better with his black players….. it’s hard to win whenever you got a divided organization
I 100% don’t believe coach is racist…
he can’t relate

The way the Cowboys go about preparing for games week to week has been talked about for years now. This comes as no surprise considering the inconsistent play that became a pretty regular thing for the organization under Garrett’s leadership. Never being a man to bite his tongue, Bryant expressed what he felt was the biggest problem back in October after the Cowboys loss to a then 0-4 New York Jets team.
Nothing to do with the players.. whenever training camp start for the cowboys it’s training camp until the season is over.. a lot of pointless meetings not enough time for the players to recover from injuries preparing for the next game… https://t.co/ImP2Pew3k2

So as you can see, this isn’t anything new when it comes to Bryant and his opinion of the man he played under for eight seasons. Garrett has a reputation for being a class act, however, with words like these from one of the biggest stars in franchise history, it makes you wonder how many former and current players feel the same way.
