Halftime Report: Cowboys lead the Jets 18-10

After two quarters of play, the Dallas Cowboys lead the New York Jets 18-10.

After winning the toss, the Cowboys selected to receive the ball to try and put some pressure on Zach Wilson and the Jets.

They did just that.

The offense drove 75 yards on 12 plays for a touchdown, taking an early 7-0 lead.

The defense followed up with back to back spots.

Dak Prescott started a perfect 13-for-13, the best of his career.

Brandon Aubrey hit a 35-yard field goal, capping off a 14-play, 78-yard third offensive drive for Dallas.

After nearly a game a half for the Cowboys defense, they finally surrendered their first score of the year.

Wilson hit Garrett Wilson on a slant for a 78-yard touchdown pass.

Cowboys defense began its season allowing no points on its first 15 possessions

It was not the worst coverage in the world, but he got a step on DaRon Bland.

The offense responded with a nice 13 play, 78 yard drive to take a 18-7 lead.

The Jets were able to add three points before half to make it a 18-10 game at half. Wilson ran for about 40 yards on that drive alone, super annoying.

The Cowboys are not having any trouble moving the ball from 20 to 20, but the Jets defense has given them a bit of trouble inside the numbers.

Credit to them.

Tony Pollard has been held in check, and the Jets are making Prescott try and beat them with his arm. He has done so thus far.

Outside of ONE bad ball that was dropped by the Jets defense, he’s been really good against a defense that forced four turnovers from Josh Allen the week before.

The Jets get the ball out of the break, but as long as the Cowboys stay calm, they will be fine.

This uptempo offense by Mike McCarthy actually looks really good.

CeeDee Lamb already has seven catches for 107 yards. He has been cooking the Jets defense.

I am surprised.

Just stay the course and the Cowboys should pull away in the second half.

Don’t beat yourself, Dallas.
