We didn’t need anything more to be fully excited for the Dallas Cowboys’ 2021 season, but their appearance on HBO’s “Hard Knocks” series has certainly fueled the fire. With the first episode just a week away, HBO has released a trailer previewing the show and the return of America’s Team as the feature.
This will be Dallas’ third appearance on the show, the most of any team. The Cowboys were also featured in 2002 and 2008. The Bengals and Rams are the only other franchises to have multiple appearance with two each.
America’s team is back.

The trailer calls 2021 a “comeback season” for the Cowboys, which is certainly the hope after a dismal 6-10 campaign in 2020. While Dak Prescott’s return from injury will no doubt be a focus, many other key players who missed time last year will hopefully be joining him.
There are also comeback stories beyond injuries, such as Randy Gregory finally overcoming his personal struggles and guys like Jaylon Smith and Leighton Vander Esch trying to re-find their mojo. And after a poor debut season as Cowboys head coach, Mike McCarthy needs redemption as badly as any of his players.
The 16th season of “Hard Knocks” debuts next Tuesday, August 10th at 10:00pm EST.
