How Healthy is the Cowboys Roster Going into their Matchup with Panthers?

The Dallas Cowboys are preparing to travel to Charlotte, NC with the hopes of improving their record to 7-3 versus the Carolina Panthers.

They do so with a mostly healthy roster that hasn’t suffered as many devastating injuries as other unfortunate teams.

Trevon Diggs was ruled out after an ACL tear during practice in Week 3, but the play of DaRon Bland has softened that blow for all of us.

Leighton Vander Esch was injured against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 5 and was officially ruled out for the season this week.

Devastating news on the personal side, but the play of Damone Clark and Markquese Bell has made us feel better on the business side.

Sitting in Week 11 with only two starters lost for the season is a comfortable place to be, and that health continues week to week.

Let’s take a look at the injury report for the Cowboys at Panthers game, and how it affects each team.

Dallas Cowboys at Carolina Panthers final injury report.

Dallas Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys officially listed seven players on their final injury report from Friday afternoon.

No Designation

RB Rico Dowdle (ankle), DE Viliami Fehoko (knee), TE Peyton Hendershot (ankle), CB Jourdan Lewis (neck), DT Osa Odighizuwa (hamstring), WR Jalen Tolbert (knee), WR KaVontae Turpin (shoulder)

Although the Cowboys listed seven players on the injury report this week, all of them were full participants in practice.

There is no indication that health will play any factor on any of the above players suiting up for the game on Sunday.

Viliami Fehoko has not been active for any game this season and thus is unlikely to make the gameday roster.

Peyton Hendershot might be activated, but it’s possible Dallas will hold off one more week.

All other players should be on the field in Carolina this Sunday.

Carolina Panthers

The Carolina Panthers officially listed a whopping 13 players on their final injury report on Friday afternoon.

Out

OLB Marquis Haynes Sr. (back), CB CJ Henderson (concussion), CB Jaycee Horn (hamstring), TE Hayden Hurst (concussion)

A team that is already behind the stick versus the Cowboys will also now be without three key starters.

Cornerbacks CJ Henderson and Jaycee Horn will not play Sunday due to a concussion and a hamstring strain, respectively.

They will be replaced in the lineup by veterans Donte Jackson and Troy Hill.

Top TE Hayden Hurst is also suffering from a concussion and will sit out.

Questionable

WR Laviska Shenault (ankle), TE Stephen Sullivan (shoulder), TE Ian Thomas (calf), S Xavier Woods (thigh)

All of the Panthers players listed as questionable were full participants in practice on Friday, and should be available to play on Sunday.

No Designation

OLB Brian Burns (concussion), WR DJ Chark (elbow), G Austin Corbett (calf), T Taylor Moton (knee), QB Bryce Young (thigh)

Carolina can breathe a sigh of relief as four of their key players ended the week with no game designation on the injury report.

Arguably their best player, Brian Burns will do his best to make Cowboys’ RT Terence Steele’s life miserable on Sunday.

WR DJ Chark will be available as another receiving weapon for QB Bryce Young, who was also listed with a thigh injury late in the week.

Two of the offensive linemen tasked to protect Young will also suit up on Sunday without restrictions.
