How The Bengals Can Be Defeated

Pretty bold title I made, considering the fact that the Cowboys will be playing without Quarterback Dak Prescott. However, there’s always a chance an upset could happen. Am I picking the Cowboys to beat the Bengals this weekend? No, no I am not. But here are some weaknesses the Bengals have.

The Cowboys and Bengals have one important feature in common, a bad offensive line. Both lines are very poor and always let their quarterback get rushed. With that said, the Cowboys need to put a lot of pressure on Joe Burrow this weekend.

Last week against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Joe Burrow threw 4 interceptions that resulted in a 23-20 loss. If the Cowboys can strike back and put enough pressure on Burrow then the same output will be likely.

Another subject that needs to be addressed in the game by the Cowboys is RUNNING THE BALL! Last week Ezekiel Elliott averaged five yards per carry, however, he only ran ten times. Offensive Coordinator Kellen Moore needs to notice when a player is doing well and take advantage of their ability.

If the Cowboys can start to prioritize their stars and run better offensive plays then more points are bound to be scored. I would love to see the Cowboys start playing some old fashion football with a lot more run plays.

Making sure that Joe Burrow is contained is the most important thing that matters here. When Joe is under pressure he seems to have a lot more trouble getting the ball to his receivers. The Cowboys need to design some plays to let Micah Parsons feast on their QB and get multiple sacks and hurries.

The Cowboys’ chances to win our down severely (rightfully so). Although the hope is still out there, as Sun Tzu once quoted from the Art of War, “In the midst of chaos, there is also opportunity.” This quote stands strong for backup Quarterback Cooper Rush.

Within all of this madness, the Cowboys can still come away with this game if they rush Burrow and maintain their running game more. Cooper Rush will have another big challenge ahead of him this week, we’ll see if they can pull off the upset.
