How Will Dak Prescott Perform in Week 1

The preseason is over, and now the Dallas Cowboys can look forward to playing the regular season. This means starters like Wide receiver CeeDee Lamb, Running Back Ezekiel Elliott, and Quarter Back Dak Prescott will return to the field. However, after the preseason, how will Dak Prescott perform in week one against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers?

Dak has been a very critical player on the Cowboys and has had very good performances in his six seasons at Dallas. This year, we have so far learned that the Cowboys’ offensive line lacks massive skill. How will this affect Dak?

Well, the offensive line is the most important part when it comes to giving the quarterback time to throw the ball. This will be a crucial part of how Dak performs. If Prescott doesn’t have enough time to throw the ball, then we can already expect that a win is going to be unlikely vs Tampa Bay.

The offensive line needs to shape up immediately to prevent Dak from being sacked multiple times in week one.

On another note, fans must remember that Dak doesn’t have a lot of his past receivers. With Amari Cooper being traded and Michael Gallup still out due to injury, the wide receiver selection is slim for Dak.

Dak Prescott still has Wide Receiver CeeDee Lamb, but two others will have to replace the other spots. Those two will most likely be Jalen Tolbert and DeVontae Turpin. These two new receivers will be a challenge for Dak to get used to. Hopefully, during practice, he has gotten familiar with each of their playing styles.

A whole lot of pressure is going to be on Dak Prescott this upcoming week due to those key points. If anything, the Cowboys may have to revert to running the ball a lot more with Tony Pollard and Ezekiel Elliott.

Week one is going to be a disaster unless the Cowboys can fix their Offensive line and give Dak the time he needs. They also must make sure Dak is familiar with his new receivers for the upcoming game.
