As we have seen all too often, the Dallas Cowboys season ended like normal, a loss in the playoffs. Still, one positive from this season is that Dallas may have something in Jake Ferguson.
On Wednesday, he was on NFL Total Access, he talked about the loss to the Packers, Dak Prescott, and other fun stuff.
What Went Wrong Against Green Bay?
What the heck happened against the Packers in the playoffs? That was the main question addressed in his time on the show.
We heard DeMarcus Lawrence try to cover up and say something about how they were tired; Ferguson responded by saying that it’s the Cowboys, so every team is going to play them tough.
Ferguson made his first Pro Bowl in 2023, and I have a feeling that it won’t be his last.
Still, I wish he could have sat out because then that means Dallas would have been playing in the Super Bowl.

“You can’t look back and you know, have any sort of just ‘Oh, I made a bad play, so we lost,’” Ferguson said.
“We’re the Dallas Cowboys, every team that’s going to play us is going to bring their all every single time.”
“it’s time to move on to the next week,” he said.
We’ve seen this story before, and the answers are just recycled and reused year after year.
As much as I try to talk myself into thinking something will change, it is the same result.
I do like this core, but man, time is running out.
He Believes in Dak Prescott
Of course, they couldn’t go the entire show without asking Ferguson about Dak Prescott.
From the little rumblings around the league, we know Prescott will get an extension of some sort this offseason.
Ferg said that Dak was already looking ahead to the 2024 season.
“I know Dak is ready for the next season, that’s all you can do,” he said.
"I'm with him until the wheels fall off."
Jake Ferguson on is Dak Prescott the QB that can get the Cowboys to the SB.

“We’ve got to get ready for this OTA session coming up, and then also fall camp and just get ready so if we do get in this situation down the road again, where we take advantage and we aren’t really looking back, we’re just going straight through the wall,” Ferguson said.

2024 Season
Look, Ferguson is saying all the right things, but if we are sitting here next season in the same spot, and the Cowboys players are answering these questions with the same type of response, something will need to change.
Jerry Jones talked about going “all-in,” this year.
No excuses to not bring in the players to get it done.

Mike Zimmer was hired to replace Dan Quinn. That is a hire I like for once.
Zimmer is not going to try and be buddy, buddy with these guys, he wants to coach them.
Quinn was great, and I loved bringing him back last season, but like the offense, failed to show up most of the time against above-average teams.
Until Jerry makes enough moves to really show us that he is going all in this year, it’s hard to get excited.
I was hyped when they traded for Brandin Cooks and Stephon Gilmore last March, so here is to hoping we get something similar this offseason.
