Jason Garrett Hopes Highlight Reel Will Ignite Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys are on the verge of the first four game losing streak in the Dak Prescott era.

It’s been a wildly embarrassing three weeks for Dallas, who is vastly underperforming given their roster talent. Head coach Jason Garrett has been named as the main culprit for this underperformance, and given that his contract expires after this season, it’s expected that he won’t be back in 2020.

In an effort to rally the team this week and potentially save his own job, Garrett reportedly showed them a highlight reel of plays they’ve made in the past.

Right tackle La’el Collins spoke about the highlight reel, saying it showed them what type of team they truly have when things are going right.

“It was like a highlight reel…they were all fantastic plays. Everything went well on them, offense and defense. So it just shows the type of team we have, the players we have. It’s just putting it all together so that you see what it looks like when we do it the right way.”

Garrett is clearly trying instill confidence in his team this week, as they embark on a three game journey to clinch a playoff spot. Dallas has looked lost and frustrated as of a late, and re-gaining some confidence could potentially go a long way for this roster.

If the Cowboys can win their two remaining NFC East games, they’ll host a postseason game during the Wild Card round. But before they can get to those divisional games, they’ll need to deal with the red hot Los Angeles Rams on Sunday.
