The 2020 Dallas Cowboys are currently 1-3 and could easily be 0-4 without an onside kick recovery vs the Atlanta Falcons. On top of their obvious struggles, the injury report in Dallas has resembled a scene from A Nightmare on Elm Street with several players currently missing significant time.
Unfortunately, they have yet another important link in their chain that’s set to miss some time. According to ESPN’s Todd Archer, Center Joe Looney could miss 2-3 weeks with an MCL sprain in his right knee that he suffered on the very first play of the Cowboys 49-38 loss to the Cleveland Browns last Sunday.
Starting center Joe Looney suffered a sprained medial collateral ligament in his right knee vs. Cleveland and could miss 2-3 weeks, according to a source. Rookie Tyler Biadasz will replace Looney. Depending on how Looney, who was hurt on the first snap,… https://t.co/V0rxw799qb

If no positive progress is made in Looney’s rehab efforts it’s possible he could be placed on injured reserve which would keep him out at least three weeks, which was confirmed by team owner Jerry Jones on 105.3 The Fan on Tuesday morning.
Now, the stage is set for rookie Tyler Biadasz to make his first NFL start vs the New York Giants this Sunday. At Wisconsin, Biadasz was a Consensus All-American (2019) and received three All-Big Ten nods (two first-team, one third-team) which included winning the Rimington Award given to the best center in college football.
Biadasz gave Cowboys fans a glimpse of what to hopefully expect vs the Browns last week. He played 81 of a possible 82 snaps and performed well. That shouldn’t be surprising, though, considering he’s tried to model his game after former Cowboys Center Travis Frederick who recently retired after seven seasons.
“I tried molding my game after him,” Biadasz said back in April. “One of the greats — an animal. Our body types are similar. … I’m looking forward to continuing what he did at Dallas.”
Biadasz has the pedigree to be a very good NFL center and he could put a stranglehold on the position over the next several games.
