The Dallas Cowboys will be without one of their brightest young stars, Linebacker Leighton Vander Esch, in tonight’s divisional battle with the New York Giants. He was named as one of their seven inactive players for Week 9.
Vander Esch is the only starter missing for Dallas tonight. Coming off the bye week, the Cowboys were able to get most of their roster healthy in preparation for the second half of the 2019 season.
Cowboys inactives: Cedrick Wilson, Devin Smith, Leighton Vander Esch, Joe Jackson, Adam Redmond, Cam Fleming, Trysten Hill.

Sean Lee and Joe Thomas figure to get increased playing time tonight in Leighton’s absence.
The Giants are missing one of their key players as well tonight as starting WR Sterling Shepard has not fully recovered from a concussion.
Giants inactives: WR Sterling Shepard (concussion), QB Alex Tanney, OT Eric Smith, OL Chad Slade, OLB Chris Peace, LB Devonte Downs, DL R.J. McIntosh

The loss of Shepard will help balance things out when New York has the ball. But the Giants still have Golden Tate and Evan Engram as passing game targets, plus the dynamic Saquon Barkley for all sorts of uses.
Kickoff is about an hour away. Go Cowboys!
