Cowboys legend Michael Irvin had current star Ezekiel Elliott on his podcast this week. That much Star power in one show is worth a listen, and especially as the two engaged on several interesting topics that Dallas fans themselves are discussing.
Zeke and The Playmaker talked about last week’s season-opening loss to Tampa Bay and the impact missing Zack Martin had on that game, plus what it means to get Martin back for Week 2. They also dove into DeMarcus Lawrence’s injury and its impact, La’el Collins suspension, and other factors relevant for today’s Week 2 matchup with the Los Angeles Chargers.

Also relevant to this afternoon’s game was some background on Zeke’s time at Ohio State and his relationship with the Chargers’ Joey Bosa, who was his college roommate. That also led to some talk about their former coach, Urban Meyer, and his new foray into NFL coaching with Jacksonville.
The conversation with Elliott starts about halfway through the show, but the first half is still great content for Cowboys Nation. As always, Irvin’s passion for his former team shines through and reminds us that he’ll always be a Cowboy no matter where his national media jobs take him.
