17. Jacksonville Jaguars

This defense is elite, make no mistake about it. They have a Super Bowl-caliber defense. But can Nick Foles take the offense to the next level after arriving from Philadelphia? His offensive weapons won’t be as good as the ones he had with the Eagles. Of course, the exception to that is RB Leonard Fournette, who is back and healthy.

18. Seattle Seahawks

In comparison with most Power Rankings, I’m low on the Seahawks. I have them third in the NFC West with the 49ers and Rams above them. They’ve lost many players on defense and offense and despite adding WR D.K. Metcalf in the Draft, they’ll have a tough time replacing recently retired Doug Baldwin. The offensive line was improved but isn’t convincing yet.

19. Carolina Panthers

Cam Newton should be healthy but the team is still lacking talent at many positions, including WR. Christian McCaffrey gives them a lot of hope at RB, but they can’t let him do everything. This team is decent, but their division is a tough one to be in.

20. Baltimore Ravens

Don’t underestimate the Ravens defense. They have plenty of good players but lose C.J. Mosley, Terrell Suggs, and Eric Weddle. Lamar Jackson has yet to prove his worth at QB, especially in the passing game. Mark Ingram at running back will be of major help.

21. Tennessee Titans

After struggling in the first four years of his career, QB Marcus Mariota is on a prove-it year. The defense was quietly one of the best in the 2018 season. If they keep it up, they might be in the conversation in a contested AFC South.

22. New York Jets

This Jets team is a big question mark for me. They add a lot of key players like RB Le’Veon Bell, LB C.J. Mosley and DT Quinnen Williams. Sam Darnold will enter his second year in the NFL after a promising rookie year. They will be a headache for those teams they encounter.

23. Oakland Raiders

They’ll be heavily improved after a busy offseason, but the Raiders are not quite there yet. Derek Carr will be playing for his future on the team. They’ll get more wins than they did last year, but don’t expect them to be playing in January.

24. Washington Redskins

Dwayne Haskins will likely be the QB for most of the season. RB Derrius Guice will finally make his debut after tearing his ACL in what would’ve been his rookie year. The Redskins have a good defensive line that could lead them to some wins. They figure to be third in the NFC East in 2019, though.
