According to David Moore of the Dallas Morning News, Mike McCarthy and members of his coaching staff will return to The Star this Friday for the first time since March.

Of course, McCarthy and company were forced to work from home over recent months due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but the country is now beginning to open up. In particular, Texas has seen some aggressive return to normalcy policies, with governor Greg Abbott also saying that professional sports stadiums can now host up to 50% capacity.

As seen in CBS Sports’ Amanda Guerra’s tweet, this would mean that up to 40,000 fans would be allowed to watch the Cowboys play in person this season. But considering that the governor is already doubling the previously stated 25% capacity rules, I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s looking to fill AT&T Stadium come September.
Ultimately, though, the NFL may end up ruling differently on fan allowance. There’s still a million things up in the air here, but it’s certainly encouraging to see Mike McCarthy and members of his staff returning to work this week.
