Among the Cowboys’ biggest moves in 2020 free agency has been adding Defensive Tackle Gerald McCoy, a six-time Pro Bowler and one of the league’s top defensive linemen of the last decade. Not only does McCoy bring it on the field, but he’s been great about engaging on social media.
Yesterday, McCoy took to Twitter to introduce himself to Cowboys Nation and provide a good reminder about dealing with Coronavirus.

Following McCoy over from Carolina is veteran Dontari Poe, who just finalized his new contract yesterday. The pair of DT additions will join Antwaun Woods and Trysten Hill to hopefully upgrade the position from previous seasons.
Dallas lost Maliek Collins to the Raiders in free agency this offseason.
McCoy’s five sacks in 2019 matched Collins’ career-high from 2016. At the very least, even at age 32, Gerald should be able to cover what the team lost by Maliek’s departure.
But hopefully, in addition to his strong play, McCoy will also serve as a veteran leader in the locker room and a player willing to engage with fans. His personality is clear and, so long as it’s backed up on the field, will be a welcome new energy on the roster and for the rest of us to enjoy.
Cowboys Nation is ready to see you work, Gerald. Welcome to The Star!
