QB Dak Prescott’s “Confidence to the Roof” With Rookie WR CeeDee Lamb

The talk surrounding CeeDee Lamb has been nothing but complementary this offseason, however, a recent statement by Quarterback Dak Prescott might be the highest praise the Dallas Cowboys 2020 first-round draft pick has received to date.

“My confidence is to the roof with him.” To already have such confidence in someone who has just joined the team, with very little practice time due to the shortened offseason, speaks volumes to the bond Dak Prescott already has with CeeDee Lamb.

I don’t think I can properly put into words how high of praise Prescott is giving Lamb. Any new addition, rookie or veteran, typically takes a little time to work with in order to develop a bond However, it sounds as if that’s not really the case between these two. And for a rookie to accomplish this feat in arguably the most bizarre offseasons is absolutely mind-boggling.

I don’t know about you, but I really think it’s a testament to CeeDee Lamb’s work ethic and talent. He really had to put his nose to the grind stone in order to learn a new offensive system, which is even more impressive considering the majority of it took place remotely due to the COVID-19 pandemic. He’s definitely got the makings of being something truly special.

But Dak Prescott’s praise of CeeDee Lamb didn’t stop with his “confidence to the roof” statement. He went on to say “he’s had as good of a camp as anyone.” That is simply amazing considering all of the other talent the Dallas Cowboys have on the roster. Again, a rookie in a shortened offseason accomplished this!

Generally speaking, incoming rookies usually take a while to acclimate themselves to the way things are done in the NFL. That doesn’t seem to be the case for CeeDee Lamb. If everything Dak Prescott said is true, the Cowboys rookie WR is well on his way to reaching superstar status early in his professional career.

What do you think of Dak Prescott’s early confidence in CeeDee Lamb?
