This isn’t at all related to the plantar fasciitis that kept him out during the back end of training camp, seeing as it’s on the opposite leg. All signs point to this just being a precautionary measure for the pro-bowler as he was limited in today’s practice. Cooper has changed life for the Dallas Cowboys offensively since being acquired via trade mid-season in 2018. Providing Dak Prescott with a true number option at receiver allowed the Cowboys to go on a 7-2 finish to win the NFC East at 10-6.
Although this isn’t deemed to be serious it’s something to monitor as the Cowboys travel to New Orleans to face the Saints on Sunday Night Football this week. Cooper is off to a fast start in 2019 with 16 receptions for 238 yards and 4 touchdowns in three games. Even without Drew Brees, the Cowboys will need him for this tough early-season road test.
