Report: Cowboys CB Rashard Robinson Suspended for Violating NFL’s PED Policy

The Dallas Cowboys are always in the news, which comes with the label of being America’s Team. However, all news isn’t good news, and this is one of those cases.

According to Michael Gehlken of the Dallas Morning News, Cowboys Cornerback Rashard Robinson has been suspended for the first two games of the 2021 season for violating the NFL’s performance-enhancing drug policy.

Robinson has bounced around the league since he was drafted in the fourth round in 2016. He’s had stints with the San Francisco 49ers and New York Jets before joining the Cowboys in 2020. Due to a plethora of injuries at the cornerback position, Robinson was asked to play more than the Cowboys would have liked last season. He appeared in four games with three starts and registered 20 total tackles while playing 186 snaps.

He was set to compete with CJ Goodwin, Maurice Canady, Saivion Smith, Deante Burton, and 2020 fourth-round pick Reggie Robinson for the top backup role at cornerback. Now, he won’t see game action until Week 3.

Robinson is still eligible to participate in training camp and the preseason.

I write dope stuff about the Dallas Cowboys and what not.
