The Brinks truck has made a few stops in North Texas over the last several weeks, and it could be making another very soon. Dallas Cowboys Executive Vice President Stephen Jones said on 105.3 The Fan earlier today that the organization is looking to extend Quarterback Dak Prescott before Sunday’s season opener against the New York Giants.

The Cowboys have inked extensions for Jaylon Smith, La’el Collins, and Ezekiel Elliott since late August. Now with the 2019 season just days away, Prescott has become the main priority. Philadelphia Eagles Quarterback Carson Wentz signed a four-year 128 million dollar extension with 108 million in guarantees back in June, only to be topped by Los Angeles Rams Quarterback Jared Goff who signed a four-year 134 million dollar extension with 110 million in guarantees a few days ago.

Now, it appears Prescott will be the next quarterback to hop aboard the money train. If this happens, he would be the fifth player extended by the Cowboys since April, so much for that “Cap Hell” notion huh? More details to come.
