Report: Cowboys Re-Sign Cornerback CJ Goodwin

The moves continue in free agency for the Dallas Cowboys. They’ve been busy in the secondary resigning Cornerback Anthony Brown and Safety Darian Thompson, while also grabbing Maurice Canady who played for the Baltimore Ravens and New York Jets in 2019.

Now, the Cowboys are bringing back a little more depth at the cornerback position. According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, CJ Goodwin is re-signing with the organization on a one-year deal worth a little over one million.

Goodwin has bounced around the league since going undrafted in 2014. He’s had stints with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Atlanta Falcons, Arizona Cardinals, New York Giants, San Francisco 49ers, and Cincinnati Bengals before being signed by the Cowboys in October of 2018. He provides more depth at cornerback which the Cowboys need after losing Byron Jones. Also, he led the Cowboys in special teams tackles with 10 last season which can’t go undervalued.

I write dope stuff about the Dallas Cowboys and what not.
