As we all know, the Dallas Cowboys have done nothing in free agency this season, despite Jerry Jones claiming that this team was going to go “all-in” after once again falling short in the playoffs.
Yet, he is getting what he wants: the national media talking about his team. Former quarterback Robert Griffin III is correct in his comments.

“The Dallas Cowboys have had the worst offseason in the NFL,” he said.
He’s right, you know.
Of course, we will have folks around saying this is not how Jerry does business; maybe it should be because this team hasn’t won two playoff games in a row in nearly 30 years.
“If the goal coming into the offseason for the Cowboys was to fix their culture, focus on winning, and make it all about the ball, then they’re failing miserably.
“I know Cowboys fans have to be tired of this circus and this continuous song and dance of getting attention and not winning when it matters.”
Executive vice president Stephen Jones denied concerns that the franchise has a culture problem while speaking with the media at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis last month.
I agree with RG3 this time, but when he said Deion Sanders needed to be the coach, that was a little much.
I like Sanders just as much as the next guy, but he went 4-8 in his first year as the head coach at Colorado, playing in the Pac-12 is a little bit different than Jackson State.
Failed Offseason
He is right; this offseason has been an absolute failure. While every football team got better or stayed at least the same, the Cowboys have worsened.
They lost five players who were starters or logged a solid amount of snaps in the rotation.
Please look at the graphic below. They spent the least money on any team during the 2024 NFL offseason.

Look, I am sick and tired of this team not trying to make this team better when they can.
They could have created nearly $50 million in cap space if they wanted this offseason and have yet to make an effort.
Please don’t sell me on the draft. Sure, they draft great players, but it will be the same issue….. Wasting Hall of Fame talent; I hope Tyron Smith makes a deep playofy run with Aaron Rodgers this season.
Let’s see what they do in the draft, but expect them to take an offensive lineman with their first-round pick, and then, honestly, they may do anything after that.
They may take the best available running back or wide receiver. After losing Johnathan Hankins and others, they still need to get some depth back on the defensive line.
Yet, that isn’t going to fill what they lost; I hope and pray that these young guys can come in and make an impact.
The Cowboys will probably sign some unwanted vets after the draft is over and say they did what they could to go “all-in,” but this is what we have to deal with in Jerry Jones.
I just wish I could see this front office act like they wanna win something again, it’s stinks to watch them fold every single decent team they have, and now this window might be done.
