As if the Dallas Cowboys weren’t wrapped up in enough quarterback drama already, current Seahawks star Russell Wilson has thrown some gasoline on the fire.
After reports broke that Wilson had formally requested a trade from the Seahawks, ESPN’s Adam Schefter clarified that this was not the case. He did add, though, that Russell Wilson has a list of teams he would consider being traded to.
The Dallas Cowboys were on said totally hypothetical list.
Seahawks’ QB Russell Wilson has not demanded a trade, his agent Mark Rodgers told ESPN. Wilson has told the Seahawks he wants to play in Seattle but, if a trade were considered, the only teams he would go to are the Cowboys, Saints, Raiders, Bears.

Russell Wilson is of course an incredible player, one who found himself in the middle of the MVP debate early on in the 2020 season. But trading away assets for a quarterback when you already have a franchise guy in your building would be a dumb move. One that not even the Cowboys would consider, I would expect.
Either way, it’s entertaining that Dallas finds themselves on these destination lists time after time, despite consistent underachieving and dysfunction for the last 20-something years.
Americas Team, I suppose.
Plus who wouldn’t want to play with those receiving weapons?
