The Dallas Cowboys now have the highest winning percentage in NFL history

Following the Cowboys’ 22-10 win over the Los Angeles Rams last Sunday, the Dallas Cowboys now have the highest winning percentage of all time.

According to StatMuse, the Dallas Cowboys are slightly ahead of the Green Bay Packers with the highest win percentage of any NFL team with over 200+ games played. What does this mean? It means the Dallas Cowboys are a winning franchise.

Yes, it may not seem that way as the Cowboys are approaching a 27-year drought in their chase of reaching the Super Bowl once again. The last couple of decades have brought good moments, but also a lot of heartbreak to Cowboys fans around the world.

But not all hope is lost.

This year could be different, so let me explain.

The Cowboys have not had a great, or championship-caliber defense in the last 27 years. Defense wins championships, and the Cowboys are off to a tremendous start on their journey for another Lombardi trophy. On top of having one of, if not the best defensive units in the league – the Cowboys also happen to employ the greatest defensive player in the league – Micah Parsons. That fact alone should give you enough hope in the Cowboys this year.

The Cowboys are equipped with plenty of talent and weapons to make a deep playoff run, and this is the year they could finally put it all together. Besides their great defense, the Cowboys have playmakers at every level on both sides of the ball.

Now is the time for the Cowboys to raise their winning percentage another number, because this Sunday, the Cowboys will go head-to-head on Sunday Night Football against their division rival, the undefeated Philadelphia Eagles. A win here would be huge for the Cowboys to carry on their momentum as they eagerly await the return of Dak Prescott, who should bring a much-needed refresher to this offense that ranks in the bottom half of the league.

The Cowboys will be facing their ultimate test of the season so far against the Eagles, and coming away from this game with a win can really propel this team into their final form going into the second half of the season. How all of this pans out for the Cowboys has yet to be seen, but we are left with a lot of positive hope after what we have seen in the first quarter of this season.

Once quarterback Dak Prescott returns from injury and the offense really gets going for this team, the Cowboys should be off to the races in their chase for a sixth ring.
