Trevon Diggs may need to purchase another home just to hold all of his awards. The former second-round pick was named NFC Defensive Player of the Month for September after snagging three interceptions and six passes defended. He hasn’t stopped there though.
In the Cowboys’ 36-28 win over the Carolina Panthers, Diggs racked up two more interceptions giving him an unreal five in the first four games of the season. After another lockdown performance, Diggs was named NFC Defensive Player of the Week.

Diggs is the 16th player in NFL history to start a season with an interception in each of the first four games and he’s the fourth player in Cowboys history with an interception in four straight games. He’s the 24th player in team history to win Defensive Player of the Week and the first to win it since former safety Xavier Woods won the award in November of 2019 against the New York Giants.
In just 16 NFL games, Diggs has amassed eight interceptions and 22 passes defended. It’s not a big sample size but with the consistency that Diggs is showing he’s becoming one of the premier shutdown corners in the NFL and no player at his position is playing better in 2021.
