Tyrone Crawford Underwent Surgery on Right Leg

Injuries were the theme for the 2020 Dallas Cowboys. Dak Prescott, several members of the offensive line, and a plethora of defensive players all missed significant time this season which led to a disappointing 6-10 campaign.

Wide receiver Amari Cooper recently had a cleanup procedure done on his right ankle. Now, another member of the Cowboys has gone under the knife since their season ended two weeks ago. Defensive End Tyrone Crawford posted a video via his Instagram account saying he had successful surgery on his right leg.

Crawford has had a rough time as of late on the injury front. He had season-ending hip surgery in October of 2019. He was placed on the PUP list in July before being activated in August. He also spent time on the Reserve/COVID list in November.

He signed a five-year, $45 million dollar extension in 2015. He’s been a serviceable player and a great locker room presence, but many feel his price tag is too high for his production.

Crawford will be an unrestricted free agent in 2021, and according to Mike Fisher of Sports Illustrated, the nine-year veteran is considering retirement from the NFL which makes his chances of returning to the Cowboys unlikely, at least for now.

I write dope stuff about the Dallas Cowboys and what not.
