Updated 2021 NFL Draft Order: Dallas Cowboys Move up 2 Spots

The Dallas Cowboys looked like an entirely different team in all three phases of the game in Week 9 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. They very nearly pulled off an upset against the only undefeated team left in the league, however, the Steelers still managed to hang on to secure the 24-19 victory.

It was good to see some fight still left in the Dallas Cowboys, despite not having much to play for this year. Having said that though, winning actually could have done more harm than good as far as the 2021 NFL Draft is concerned. A win would have knocked them out of the Top 5, whereas a loss actually improves their draft status.

Here’s a look at the current Top 10…

2021 NFL Draft Order (Week 9)

  1. New York Jets (0-7)
  2. Jacksonville Jaguars (1-7
  3. Dallas Cowboys (2-7)
  4. New York Giants (2-7)
  5. Washington Football Team (2-6)
  6. Los Angeles Chargers (2-6)
  7. Houston Texans Miami Dolphins (2-6)
  8. New England Patriots (2-5)
  9. Cincinnati Bengals (2-5-1)
  10. Carolina Panthers (3-6)

As things stand right now the Dallas Cowboys are currently slotted to pick third overall in the upcoming 2021 NFL Draft. The good news is they can’t fall any further due to them being on their bye week, but could actually move up one spot ahead of the Jacksonville Jaguars if they somehow beat the Green Bay Packers this week. It’s unlikely, but stranger things have happened.

Now, I don’t know whether you’re #teamtank or not but securing a high draft pick in the upcoming 2021 NFL Draft may be the only silver lining we have for the Dallas Cowboys this year. As such, it’s okay to be a little conflicted as to whether or not you want to root for or against the Cowboys as the season progresses. After all, all we want is what’s best for the team moving forward.

Where do you stand? Are you #teamtank for the Dallas Cowboys?
